Upcoming sessions — LA training
Scheduled sessions anyone can join. Dates are confirmed when you register.
Nothing of this kind is scheduled at the moment — most of our training runs privately, arranged for one organisation at a time. Ask for a date.
Why expert advice is worth having
Organisations rarely fail ISO LA Training because the standard is hard. They fail because the evidence does not match what the auditor asks for.
A date you can actually commit to
Knowing which parts of ISO LA Training can be compressed and which cannot is the difference between meeting a tender deadline and explaining why you missed it.
Surveillance never stops
A ISO LA Training certificate is the start of a three year cycle, not the end of a project. Building for the surveillance audits from day one costs far less than rebuilding before each one.
It has to survive after we leave
A ISO LA Training system that only works while a consultant is on site fails its first surveillance audit. We build it so your own people can run it, and train them to do so.
Auditors ask for particular evidence
Someone who has sat through hundreds of ISO LA Training audits knows which records get requested first and which answers collapse under a follow up question. That knowledge is only earned in the room.

What ISO LA Training is worth to you
Certification is a commercial decision before it is a technical one. This is where the return usually shows up.
Audit Capability In House
Qualified lead auditors let you run supplier and internal audits yourself instead of paying a consultancy for every single one.
Career Value for Staff
A recognised lead auditor qualification is portable and sought after, which makes the course a retention tool as much as a skill.
Certification Body Fluency
People who have sat the course understand how auditors reason, so external audits stop feeling like a confrontation.
New Billable Service Line
For service firms, qualified auditors on the payroll open a chargeable line of work that did not previously exist.

Look at how it is structured before you commit
Documentation for ISO LA Training fails when it describes a company nobody recognises. Ours maps clause by clause onto how you actually operate, so the manual, the procedures and the record formats hang together and an auditor can follow the thread. Book a demo and we will show you that structure on screen, not describe it.

What ISO LA Training is usually taken with
Few organisations stop at one standard, and the second costs far less than the first — the clauses that take longest are the ones they share. Where ISO LA Training sits next to something else, this is what carries over.
- ISO Training consultancy — shares clauses 4 to 10 with this standard, so context, leadership, competence, internal audit and management review are built once and audited together.
- Internal Audits and Gap Analysis consultancy — shares clauses 4 to 10 with this standard, so context, leadership, competence, internal audit and management review are built once and audited together.
- Fire Audits consultancy — shares clauses 4 to 10 with this standard, so context, leadership, competence, internal audit and management review are built once and audited together.
Certified to more than one, you hold a single management system with one set of objectives, one internal audit programme and one management review — audited in one visit. Run as separate systems they cost roughly twice as much to keep, which is the usual reason a second certificate feels harder than it was.
Five days that qualify you to audit a management system
Lead auditor training is the recognised qualification route for people who audit management systems. Courses run for five days against a specific standard, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 22000 or another, and they teach auditing itself: the principles in ISO 19011, audit programme management, planning, conducting the audit, writing nonconformities and reporting. Knowledge of the standard is assumed, so a foundation course first is sensible for anyone new to the subject.
The people who take it are quality, safety, environment and information security managers, internal auditors wanting a formal qualification, consultants, and staff whose employer has been told to have qualified auditors on the payroll. Certification bodies require it of their own auditors. Suppliers to large customers often find the requirement written into an audit clause. MSCi delivers the training directly, in classroom and live online formats, with public and in house cohorts.
Case studies, role play and an examination at the end
The course is not a lecture series. Delegates spend most of the week in exercises: interpreting clauses against real evidence, planning an audit of a case study organisation, preparing checklists, running interviews through role play, gathering evidence and writing nonconformity statements that name the requirement, the evidence and the failure. Poor nonconformity writing is the most common weakness among working auditors, so it receives disproportionate attention here, and it is marked hard.
Delegates also work through audit programme design, risk based sampling, opening and closing meetings, handling a difficult auditee, corrective action review and follow up, and the specific conduct expected of a lead auditor running a team and a timetable. Trainers are practising auditors, so the examples come from real audits rather than a textbook. The week closes with a written examination, with continuous assessment running alongside it throughout.
The certificate, the register and where the skill gets used
Successful delegates receive a certificate from the course registration body, which is what employers and certification bodies recognise. That certificate, combined with logged audit days and the required education and experience, supports an application to an auditor register. We explain the route plainly, because delegates frequently assume the course by itself makes them a registered auditor, and it does not. Those who do not pass may usually resit the examination.
Back at work, the change is in audit quality. Internal audits stop being document checks and start sampling how processes actually perform, findings carry evidence, and reports become usable by management. Organisations that put two or three people through find their certification audits get easier, because the surveillance auditor meets an internal programme that has already found and closed the same issues. It is also a portable personal qualification.

ISO LA Training questions we are asked most
What does ISO LA Training involve in practice?
Qualifies your people to audit the standard themselves, reducing outside dependence. In practice that means documented processes matching how you really work, records showing the system running, people trained on their part of it, and an internal audit completed before anyone external arrives.
How long does ISO LA Training take?
Plan on somewhere between eight and sixteen weeks. Organisations with existing procedures move faster; those starting from nothing spend most of the time on documentation and getting records actually made rather than promised.
Do you issue the ISO LA Training certificate yourselves?
No, and no consultant should. The certificate comes from an independent accredited certification body after their own audit. We prepare you to pass it and we are there on the day to close findings. That separation is exactly what makes the certificate worth holding.
How is ISO LA Training consultancy priced?
There is no useful list price for ISO LA Training. Two organisations of the same size can differ by a factor of three depending on existing documentation. A short scoping call gets you an accurate written number.
Which industries need ISO LA Training?
We map ISO LA Training to 24 sectors and it sits in our audits & training practice. Organisations usually arrive because a specific buyer, regulator or tender committee has asked. Tell us who is asking and we will confirm whether this is the standard that satisfies them.
Can you work remotely, or do you need to be on site?
We work onsite, remote or a mix. Multi site groups often use remote sessions for documentation and reserve site visits for the gap analysis and the audit itself, which keeps travel cost out of the fee.
