Why expert advice is worth having
Organisations rarely fail Cyber Security Assessment because the standard is hard. They fail because the evidence does not match what the auditor asks for.
Scope decides the price
Getting the Cyber Security Assessment scope wrong is expensive in both directions. Too wide and you pay for audit days you never needed. Too narrow and the certificate does not cover what your customer asked about.
Integration saves real money
If Cyber Security Assessment sits alongside other standards you hold, running them as one system means one document set and one audit rather than paying for the same work several times over.
Someone has to own the detail
Cyber Security Assessment generates a large amount of small, unglamorous work. Left to whoever has a spare afternoon it drifts for months. Given an owner with a plan it takes weeks.
The certification body is independent
We prepare you for Cyber Security Assessment, and an accredited body decides. Because we do not issue the certificate, our only interest is that you actually pass, which is what makes the preparation worth paying for.
Prefer to just ask someone about Cyber Security Assessment rather than fill in a form?
What Cyber Security Assessment is worth to you
Certification is a commercial decision before it is a technical one. This is where the return usually shows up.
Honest Starting Picture
A structured assessment gives you a clear view of your real posture instead of vendor claims and departmental optimism.
Investment Case Built
Findings ranked by business impact give the finance director a reason to release security budget rather than defer it again.
Diligence Price Protection
Buyers and investors examine cyber posture closely, and unresolved findings turn into price reductions at the negotiating table.
Shadow Systems Uncovered
Assessments routinely find forgotten servers, live administrator accounts and unmanaged cloud tenants that nobody in the business now owns.
Industries where Cyber Security Assessment applies
Open a sector to see every standard it is usually asked for.

Look at how it is structured before you commit
The quickest way to judge a consultant is to look at their paperwork. In a demo we open our Cyber Security Assessment document set and show you the hierarchy: what sits in the manual, what drops into procedures, what becomes a form, and how each one traces back to a clause the auditor will ask about.
Cyber Security Assessment in detail
Taking the measure of where your security actually stands
A cyber security assessment answers a forward looking question: given how this organisation is built and what it holds, how exposed is it, and where would an attacker succeed. It is advisory work. There is no pass mark and no conformity statement at the end, which is exactly why it can examine things a formal audit cannot, including decisions still being made, budget constraints and the parts of the estate nobody has ever documented.
It is usually commissioned after a change: a merger, a move to cloud, a ransomware incident at a competitor, a new security leader wanting an independent baseline, or a board that has started asking questions the IT manager cannot answer with a tool report. Private equity buyers request one during diligence. Insurers want something similar before quoting. Scope covers technology, people and third parties together, because attackers pay no attention to those boundaries.
Interviews, configuration review and a risk register that means something
We begin with what the organisation is trying to protect, mapping the systems and data that carry the business, the processes depending on them and what a day of unavailability costs. Then the architecture: network design and segmentation, identity and privileged access, endpoint and server build standards, cloud tenancy configuration, backup design and isolation, remote access, and the supplier connections that quietly bypass all of it. Documents get read, but configurations get checked.
Alongside that we interview people across roles, because the distance between written policy and working practice is usually the finding that matters most. Threat scenarios are built from your sector and your setup, then walked end to end to see where detection and response would break down. Everything lands in a risk register with likelihood, impact and existing controls stated plainly, so the organisation can argue with the assessment rather than simply receive it.
A picture of your posture and a plan to move it
The output is a posture report describing what is strong, what is fragile and what is absent, a scored view against a recognised framework of your choosing, a risk register your own team can maintain, and a remediation plan sequenced by risk reduction rather than by ease of delivery. Quick wins are separated from structural work, and structural work is costed at least indicatively so it can enter a budget cycle honestly. We also say plainly what we could not see.
The value shows up in decisions. Security spending gets directed at exposure instead of at whatever was demonstrated most recently by a vendor. Executives get language they can use with the board and with customers. And because risks are written down with owners attached, the ones the organisation chooses to accept become explicit choices rather than oversights, which is a materially different position to be in if something goes wrong later.

Cyber Security Assessment questions we are asked most
What will we have to put in place for Cyber Security Assessment?
The requirements fall into four buckets: define it, document it, run it long enough to generate records, then audit it yourself before the certification body does.
How long does Cyber Security Assessment take?
Two to four months is the honest range for most organisations, measured from gap analysis to the certification audit. What moves it is how much you already document, how quickly people can be released for training, and the certification body's own diary.
Do you issue the Cyber Security Assessment certificate yourselves?
No, and no consultant should. The certificate comes from an independent accredited certification body after their own audit. We prepare you to pass it and we are there on the day to close findings. That separation is exactly what makes the certificate worth holding.
How is Cyber Security Assessment consultancy priced?
We price per engagement rather than per seat, because a single site business and a five site group need very different amounts of work. You get a written proposal covering scope, audit days and fees before committing to anything.
Which industries need Cyber Security Assessment?
We map Cyber Security Assessment to 5 sectors and it sits in our cyber security practice. Organisations usually arrive because a specific buyer, regulator or tender committee has asked. Tell us who is asking and we will confirm whether this is the standard that satisfies them.
Can you work remotely, or do you need to be on site?
Both, and hybrid. Gap analysis and audit day usually benefit from someone physically present, while documentation and training work perfectly well remotely. We fit delivery to your sites and schedule rather than the reverse.
